How do governments control people minds?

In many countries, you may find racist, dictatorial, or even corrupt governments seeking their own interests, but the strange thing is the defense of the weak people to these governments that destroy their country and fighting anyone who deviates from thier rule. And here comes the question: How do corrupt governments control the minds of their people to make them stick to them despite their destruction?

Dictatorship countries know the people’s power, and that if they revolt against the government, no one can stop them, so some dictatorial countries wage an intellectual and psychological war on the people to frighten the people from their absence and also to add the image of legitimate rule. The state has many methods to achieve its goals, and I will mention 10 methods that the state uses it to impose its intellectual control over its citizens

• distraction strategy: This method is based on distracting the people from their basic problems and politics and shedding light on art, sports, celebrities and anything that attracts the attention and minds of the masses away from politics and economy and anything to do with power.

• Creating problems and solutions: Many governments deliberately create a crisis, such as creating strife among the sects of the people, and the leader appears as a reformer to restore cohesion, and thus the leader appears as a hero without him the nation may be dismantled. Or deliberately creating a food crisis for a period of time and then providing food to show the country as a savior.

• Create crises: Make the people always feel that there are defects and crises in the structure of the state and its facilities as a result of the neglect of the governments that preceded it, and that you are completely different and have come to save the people from their ordeal

• future delusion: Delusional people with illusory future plans. And that what we suffer today will be the harvest in the future. Usually people look forward to the future and have the ability to bear the worst cases for a better future.

• Gain the sympathy of the people: After an accident or a catastrophic failure of the government, make one of your politicians cry on live, post pictures of laboring workers as members of the government, or tell tragic stories about yourself, Talk about your poverty as if you feel the need of people, make sure to win as much people’s sympathy as possible.

• delusion people: Delusion people that you are one of them and that you live like them. Make one of your servants take fake pictures of you while you are walking in the street without showing the guards, as if you are an ordinary citizen or fake pictures as if you were standing with a group of citizens and you were imagined without knowing and many more. The people delusion that you live like them earns the trust of many citizens

• spread ignorance: The ignorant people does not revolt and submits its mind to any thought that it is told to them

• Disort the image of rebels: Use the media and cinema to distort the image of the rebels against the regime as idiots, barbarians, terrorism and other things. Imprint a stereotyped image in people’s minds about any rebel against the regime that makes people disgust with him or anyone supports him.

• Create an enemy out of nowhere: Always keep the country in a state of imaginary war, delude the people that you are fighting terrorism and foreign countries are seeking to control the state, and that you are the protective shield that, if it collapses, the country collapses after it.

• watch the people: Watch the people in gatherings and in social meadia, and make sure that you eliminate any voice saying truth and replace it with invalid and loyal voices to the state. To close all the doors of freedom in front of the peoples, and the voice of the state remains the only voice.

In the end, I would like to say that the intellectual and psychological war is much more dangerous than the physical war and its consequences are much deangerous. It can tied up your life in a prison and you are completely convinced that it is a heaven.
